So, pictures are still a no-go as the computer set-up at our hotel makes us choose to either have pictures or write on our blog. Check flickr. Sorry for that, but we are at the whim of free hotle computers.
Today we went to see The Great Wall. We chose to go to the Mutianyu section and it was phenomenal. the day was a bit misty and so added to a mysterious, ancient atmosphere which later broke a half-hour before we left to give us a couple "holy-shit-this-thing-goes-on-forever" and "they-built-it-over-there?" sights. Really great and we would have stayed longer had our bus time not been closer and Shiz's ankle not hurt. Either way, I have the feeling that no matter how long we had stayed there, more time would have always been beneficial. Its that kind of place.
I woudl love to go there in several different seasons and would really love to have a week to just walk from the eastern most part to as far as I could go. 'Cause that fucker is long and goes through some great country (hence great wall). By the by, not visible from space, that's a lie. No, I was not in space today, thanks for asking.
Tomorrow night we head out for Hanoi. We have our reservation set and are looking into a slightly expensive three-day tour of Halong Bay which might be possible to book and do starting the day after tomorrow. We should have done this sooner, but that is with all things so far on this trip. Hopefully we'll get better about that soon.
As for health, I am jsut about over my cold (I was able to have my last Chinese beers today, which all sadly disappointed), Shiz's ankle feels better than the other days, and I sound less like a transvestive hooker that smokes too much, which can only be a good thing.
